Trunk Or Treat 2018.jpg

This year, we will be hosting Fall carnivals at three of our local missions partners on Sunday, October 28th. We will have a Trunk or Treat at Vida Victoriosa Church from 4-6 PM, carnival games & candy distribution at Food & Shelter of Norman from 5-7 PM, and a Trunk or Treat at OKC Dream Center from 6-8 PM. We need volunteers to provide games for each location (Summit will provide all of the candy). Sign up in the Nook. Contact Nathan if you have any questions.

Local Missions events

We are called to be a hands-on part of what God is doing locally, both in our community and in the greater Oklahoma City area.  Acts 17:26-27 tells us it is no accident that we live and work and play where we do.  We have been blessed with God-given passions, abilities, and resources, and we want to leverage those gifts for the spread of the gospel in the spheres God has already placed us in.  This absolutely includes pouring into the lives of the less fortunate and marginalized around us, desiring all the while to offer them the greater remedy for their greater need, Jesus.

Locally, we seek opportunities to serve through established organizations that are graciously and effectively serving the least of these. Our hope is to form long-term partnerships where we can invest relationally in their kingdom efforts.  As a result, we are intentional about encouraging service through Home Groups, latching on to ongoing relationships more than one-time events. Additionally, we will push certain events at a church level from time to time for exposure to our people and the meeting of needs.
