CURRENT LOCAL MISSION PROJECT
We are so excited to have you join us in serving for LOVE OKC One Day! The event will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017, from 9am to 2:00pm at the Oklahoma State Fair Park. We ask that you come with a servant’s heart and diligent hands on the day of the outreach. You will be provided with a description and expectations of your role during the event, please remain willing to help wherever needed. Volunteer training and orientation will take place at 7:00am on the day of the event, it is most helpful when volunteers stay the entire day.

We are called to be a hands-on part of what God is doing locally, both in our community and in the greater Oklahoma City area. Acts 17:26-27 tells us it is no accident that we live and work and play where we do. We have been blessed with God-given passions, abilities, and resources, and we want to leverage those gifts for the spread of the gospel in the spheres God has already placed us in. This absolutely includes pouring into the lives of the less fortunate and marginalized around us, desiring all the while to offer them the greater remedy for their greater need, Jesus.
Locally, we seek opportunities to serve through established organizations that are graciously and effectively serving the least of these. Our hope is to form long-term partnerships where we can invest relationally in their kingdom efforts. As a result, we are intentional about encouraging service through Home Groups, latching on to ongoing relationships more than one-time events. Additionally, we will push certain events at a church level from time to time for exposure to our people and the meeting of needs.
