Discuss:
Why were the foreign nations so angry about the wall?
What was Nehemiah’s response to both the external and internal opposition?
Why was the threat so great to Jerusalem and its inhabitants?

1. Why is it so important to have “family” to fight with you?
Have you ever felt like Satan has attacked you? Explain.
Tell about a time when you felt very alone how did you respond to these feelings?
Read Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: 10 If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. 11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? 12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
What do you need to do to better surround yourself with people who can fight with and for you?

God may we always have people around us to help fight our battles. Thank you for being a God that fights with us.
