The Text:
Read Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:20-21, Isaiah 9:6, Luke 2:8-14
As you read the above passage make note of all that was prophesied and proclaimed regarding the arrival of Jesus. Highlight the many blessings, like peace and joy that are promised in Christ Jesus. These passage are a celebration of the beautiful truth that Jesus invaded earth to save us and bring us life.

What do you want for Christmas?
Is there anything in your life that you want this year but you know that you can’t purchase it at Target? What does your soul want this year?
Do you believe that Jesus is the only thing that can bring people true peace? Explain.
Do you trust that Jesus is sufficient for all of your needs? What does that look like in your everyday life?

Prayer
Lord you are all we want and all we need. Forgives us when we try to find our satisfaction in things other than you. May we all be filled with your peace this Christmas season!
